It is that time again! Time for another Anime Pick of the Week! WOOO! Ok well not to get too overly excited. The show I am choosing for this week is a few years old, mid 2006 to be specific. The show…xxxHolic! Anybody who is familiar with clamp has probably seen this show, but I decided on this show spread awareness of Anime being hosted on Hulu. You can stream the first 12 episodes of the first season for free, which I have embedded the fist episode as well.
The show starts off with the main character being chased by strange spirit looking things that nobody else can see which pretty much pwn him until he touches an evidently magical fence where a lady who grants wishes lives. I think anidb can provide a better description than I can.
Kimihiro Watanuki is a young boy with a cursed gift. He has the ability to see evil spirits, and somehow they seem attracted to himself. One day he meets a misterious woman who names herself Yuuko. She claims to have the means to end his torment, but she never works for free, and she wouldn’t help him until he works for her enough to pay for her services. Thus he starts to work in her shop and discovers that in that place, nothing is what it seems. [anidb]
