Nvidia taking shots at Intel

In a recent article posted on Toms Hardware, Nvidia expressed its feelings openly to Intel by saying that their graphics solutions are “A Joke” and that Intel should stick to what they are good at — building CPU’s. I personally think that Nvidia is picking on the wrong fat kid at the wrong time.

Hey Guys! I'm over here...

Nvidia should be focused on catching up with AMD/ATI instead getting into a shouting match with Intel. Intel will always do its own thing when it comes to graphics and chip sets; it is moot to say otherwise. In the past Intel has attempted to compete with the graphics giants but has always come up short. I’m not expecting anything different with their latest experiment. No doubt about its potential power but when we boil it down, the end users needs will fundamentally trickle down to gaming and 3d applications, which in the past has not been Intels forte. I think Nvidia is stirring the pot to hide the fact that it has no DirectX 11 solution on the market and nothing to compete with AMDs 5xxx series cards yet. Though taking shots at Intel is not only triggered by graphics wars, Intel and Nvidia have been fighting legally over chip sets, support, manufactures and production. In short blood is on both these giants hands, and Nvidia is trowing every cheap shot it can take at Intel. Once again I must state that AMD is sitting in the corner laughing its way to the bank.

Where all of this lands is hard to say, but what I can say is that graphics cards are going to continue to get faster and the competition is going to drive prices down. And maybe just maybe Intel might release a graphics card that stuns us all, only time will tell.

Intel Extreme Graphics! well sort of...
