Animeland Wasabi 2011: Import Games and Touhouism!

Saturday Evening started with the You can play this: How to play import Games. Crash and I initially showed up to the room a little unsure what to expect, the title was a little vague on what type of gaming would be covered but our questions were quickly answered once we sat down and met the panelist — who was none other than Jew Warrior (Justin C) from YCPT but also featured on Blistered Thumbs and Thatguywiththeglasses. The agenda focused mainly on the console side of things starting initially with the original Nintendo / Famicom and ended with current day systems such as the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. The panel had a strong emphasis on playing import games without doing a lot of heavy modification and working with what was already there. In the search of an actual video.. it appears that I am unable to locate one but I do however have a few screenshots done by other people outlining the modifications.

One of the easiest ways to modify the Regular Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo consoles is simply to use a Game Genie to extend your bay
