PS3 Price Drop

It only does....

Still holding out on a blu-ray player, still holding out on that internet browsing box, still holding out on that gaming system, still holding out on that media server? Well Stop it, you can get yourself a PS3 for $249.99, thats down another $50 bucks, and in my eyes is a great deal.

I use my Ps3 for a lot of things, such as: Watching Blu-ray & DvD, gaming, browsing the internet, streaming movies and music, and getting games for my PsP. The amount of stuff you can do with a PS3 is well worth the cost of admission, which is now finally competive with the Xbox 360 in cost.

My Gripes with the PS3, well I have a bunch. Poor support, lack of titles that interest me, security, DRM, and the mulit-player is still far inferior to PC or Xbox. But even with these flaws it’s a great system. I should mention that it has just has been the wiping boy of the gaming industry with all the recent bad PR. And I honestly really don’t care for Sony as a company, but heck this is still a good deal.

Pros: It’s a Sony

Cons: It’s a Sony

  1. I am happy to see this, but I am investing money into upgrading my computer to be my primary gaming machine again. After the PS3 hack I would much rather protect myself and be smart rather than get scraps and a sorry letter.

  2. I hear ya, I never stored any credit info with the PSN just my name and address and email. Security issues are everywhere, I really think Sony dropped the ball in regards to how they handled themselves. But in perspective cyber crime occurs more often on the Web everyday, and nothing is 100% secure unless it’s not connected to the web at all. Just my 2 cents on the topic. PC gaming is great for those who can afford to keep up with it, high end hardware and software are expensive. I myself have spent a ton of cash on PC gaming and keeping up with it.

  3. Now there is no excuse. I dropped 650 on mine and luckily got a backwards compatible one and I’ve loved it since I’ts release.
