Funimation put out a press release and a blog post about acquiring the license for Hellsing Ultimate OVA 8, and reminded us that they are the current holders of rights for 1-7 of the series. The liecense for this show was jugled between Geneon [Pioneer] and Funimation, but now is all in the hands of Funi.
Hellsing Ultimate is the violent revisit that better covers the manga. If you have not checked out the the First 7 out, well you really should, and if you have never watched the classic Hellsing well today is a good day to go and do that to. Much like how Full Metal got a remake aka the Bro-hood, Hellsing is kinda doing the same thing but at a much slower pace. Do check it out! And I also tacked on a trailer after the break, its NSFW.
