Co-host of the hit show MythBusters, Adam Savage has been visiting Comic Con incognito over the past few years. He sends out tips and riddles about his costume via twitter; This year he visited Comic con dressed as No Face from Spirited Away. He was discovered in about 30 minutes, awarding the winner with a nod and a gold coin.
In previous years Adam has cosplayed as a Storm Trooper, Hell Boy and the Joker. He plans to return again next year in a new costume and rather enjoys cosplay. He has said that he enjoys the challenge of creating the costume, making it work and getting into character.
Adam has been visiting conventions for years, he is very popular at Makers con and some of the panels he’s done have ended up on the web. Adam is a great guy, very human, very easy to talk to and has not let fame go to his head.
Adam is humble about his career and his life and is very willing to talk about his failures and mistakes. But he does not view his failures and mistakes as entirely a bad thing, he looks at it from many sides and considers the learning experience. To him failure is always an option, it’s a step, it’s a result, but it’s not the end of the world. You cannot learn without trying, failing is a natural part of learning, and through practice and study you can overcome failure. Truly inspiring.
