The Anime News network put out a press release for Rozen Maiden of all shows, yep it’s the DESU show from 2006. Well it’s about time that some company picked up the rights and set things right since Geneon stopped publishing and Funimation only had a partial license and had no plans of picking up the specials or the OVA. So Sentai Film works now owns the rights to the First and Second seasons, the OVA and the specials. They plan to roll out the shows digitally that means online, they have not specified yet what outlets or when exactly but soon. AND Expect to see the complete DVD collection later this Holiday Seasons! Sadly no plans for Blu-ray yet, but I think if they did a blu-ray that it would be an upscale anyway.
Sentai Filmworks will stream the series on “multiple digital outlets,” and will release all three shows in a complete collection on DVD by Christmas. Sentai Filmworks will release Rozen Maiden: Ouverture OVA as a stand-alone DVD as well, featuring an English dub by BangZoom! Entertainment.
