Canon Announces The 5D Mark III

Canon Fans Rejoice, the answer to Nikons D4 and D800/E has finally emerged in the form of the new 5D Mark III. Canon is still working a new version of the 1D for the upper crust of photographers but the 5D has always been the most widely used camera in the full frame sensor family. The word on price is high, it’s going to be the $3500 US for body alone, more for the lens kit landing at a staggering $4500. This is no ordinary lens either, it’s a new L series the canon EF 24-70mm L 2 USM. This lens is going to be launched side by side with the new Mark III, so this means if you want this lens alone your going to have to wait a bit longer or buy the new 5D with the kit.
