This weekend marks the anniversary of the unfortunate Tohoku earthquake that took place on March 11th last year. Even after one year things still haven’t been completely restored to how things were before the quake. Youtube user darwinfish105 has posted a interesting timelaps video of Tokyo comparing before and after shots of Japan’s on going power shortages and conservation efforts.

Additionally, on March 14th… AMC theaters around the country will be hosting a large charity screening of Pray for Japan. A documentary by Stu Levy, founder of Tokyopop and his experience of real-life heroes and volunteers who impressed him with their dedication and resilience in the face of seemingly insurmountable suffering. More information on screening can be seen on their official site Here.
