This year’s Crunchyroll anime awards was an improvement over last years Yuri on Ice Awards. This year My Hero Academia Season 2 cleaned up, wining the most awards in most categories. Not quite as many as Yuri on Ice but thanks to Crunchyroll’s choice to also weigh in critics vote to balance the fan vote things were better. The problem with letting the fans vote is that popular shows with larger following will always win just based on numbers. By adding the critics vote and making those votes weigh more than fan votes by some percentage this did help to balance things out over last year. The choice’s for each category were okay, could have been better in some categories such as Little Witch Academia being listed under best comedy. How is that show Comedy, come on man, I could think of at least a few other shows that would have fit better. Well enough about that, here are the results.
