Nichijou On Blu-Ray Thanks Bandai

As the title states, Bandai has purchased the rights to distribute Nichijou and I think that was a very wise decision on their part as it is a great show. This is a sure buy, as long as Bandai does not screw up the release by breaking it into 12 installments or by removing the Japanese language and selling dub only in the United States, which they have done before. There will be a DVD release alongside the Blu-ray.

Never heard of it? Well Nichijou is the story of everyday life of a group of girls going to school, but this is no ordinary school or town for that matter. The story covers day to day situations, in a skit approach. And not only does it cover the main girls, it covers a kid scientist and her cute robot assistant Nano, and the day to day nightmare of the principal. There is a kid whom rides a goat to school everyday, and kids with funny hair.

Bandai aside this is one of my favorite shows of all time, this show delivers a good experience every episode. This show made me smile, it made me laugh, and did it without fan service, without violence, or excess profanity. This show is fantastic, it is a breath of fresh air among the Moe blob show lineup as of late, and I the art quality is top shelf. I love the voice talent, and the feel of emotion. This show is a little Azumanga, a little K-on, with a dash of Excel Saga, and just a sprinkle of 2 chan. It walks the line with Moe but never embraces the moe. Tons of Comedy, lots of cute, and just good writing, makes a great recipe for Nichijou.
