Sentai Film Works is on fire, another great series on the plate, The world god only knows. Sentai has picked up the license for both the first and second seasons, and will be release both a dvd and bluray! Excellent news overall lets just hope that the quality of the Subs and soundtrack will be of high quality, I only mention these items because Sentai has screwed the pooch several times in the past. I have faith but I’m hard to impress when it comes to releases.
That said the show itself is about a hard core gamer who can conquer any digital 2d Girl. He plays dating sims, H games, visual novels and anything pretty girl related but has no experience with real girls. Well his life gets turned right upside when he answers an email challenging him to conquer the imposible girl, turns out that he signed a contract with hell to collect souls. The Souls are inside of women and he must get the Real Life 3d girls to fall in love with him. Aided by hell’s worst soul reaper he must go bravely where he’s never been before, into real relationships.
I like this show, it’s funny and yet romantic at times and the characters are lacking depth but plot and sub plot make for a moving compelling story. Each new episode brings a new girl to conquer, with each girl brings new problems, and challenges for our duo to overcome. The entire show is very entertaining and very fun, so I can easily recommend it.
